Maybe it's that i'm gay, or mayhap that i've never been a heavy drinker (choosing to ignore Bastille Day 1991 and 1992 for the definition of heavy drinker), but i just don't relate to this the same was as the spoons, though i can imagine how for some people it would work.
I agree that it's a good site all-in-all; i've read some on it. I had a great-uncle with congenital MS. He was in a wheelchair, but still able to drive, until i was about 17. He died about a decade ago. He lived into his early 50s; early symptomology appeared for him around age 20. Of course, medicine has come a long way since his dignosis.
