Today, ATG closed. It was a very pleasant surprise to see [livejournal.com profile] mergyeugnau and her daughter there. I'm WAY wiped after strike. I hauled, with a sturdy cart with inflatable wheels: 4 carts of lights, 2 carts of lumber, 1 cart of the heavy-as-hell bases that hold up the curtains, 2 carts of lumber, screws, and assorted stuff. Nice dinner after, and the Rioja and the Zinfandel were the standout wines of the 6 bottles i contributed, one of which i poured down the drain, about more which later. G'night; i'm achy and tired. Love you all.

Eight hours in jazz shoes is hard on the feet. Today, we had a 15:00 and a 19:30 performance. House at the matinee was dead, but had expressive faces that showed they were into it. Evening house rocked! Last show tomorrow at 15:00 at UU Church of Arlington, VA at 4444 George Mason Dr (at Rt 50, SE corner) in Arlington. If you are able to come, do. I can comp you tix if needed.

I had a lovely time during my brief visit chez Turtle this evening. Bun-bun, a boy rabbit, recently of [livejournal.com profile] chez_turtle has made it here home with me and [livejournal.com profile] benhill. Jasper, the elder cat who spent his first eighteen months with a rabbit, sniffed and ignored him. Feldspar, the younger cat, thinks he'd be fun to play with, and is still trying to figure him out.

I put him on the coffee table so he's dog-eye level. Duke, the dog, with Ben restraining him, was brought near enough to sniff. They sniffed and sniffed at each other. Then Bun-bun thumped, and went to the side of the cage i put a blanket over, to provide him 'safe shelter', and hissed at the dog. So rabbit and dog will take some acclimating.

Public Enemy is hands-down my least favourite song in Anything Goes!

Rehearsals are going well - we're off book on Wednesday next. I need to apologize to one member of the cast for my behaviour at a rehearsal a few weeks back, which i will do in the near future; it took me a while, and much thought, to fully understand what i did wrong, but now that i fully do, i need must make amends.

All shows are at the UU Church of Arlington, 4400 George Mason Dr, Arlington, VA; George Mason at US 50 on the SW corner - exit 50 going south on George Mason, church is immediately on right. If going east on 50, there's an entrance on the ramp, or make a right at the light. From the east, left at the light, church on right just after next light.

Tonight, we had our first dance rehearsal for Blow, Gabriel, Blow. I really must learn the music soon that i can dance and sing easily. Hard part of that is that i'm the only bass, and so the only one on my part.

The music director and dance director both rock. No opinion yet on producer/director, bet we start blocking next month, so i'm sure i'll have opinions ere long.
