I Named My Kitten.

She's in the centre of this pix, and she shall be known as Feldspar. The name just came to me out of nowhere about an hour ago. scarlettj9 and Fred both thought the name a good choice.

Fred suggested i look up the magical properties of Feldspar. Having read that, the name fits nicely; I have familiars, not pets, after all. Scroll down a bit from the Feldspar listing to Jasper. Reading that, the fact that i call him my object-lesson makes better sense.

I look forward to my next visit with the kittens at the 69s. And i need to determine a date to get her. I'm thinking a Thursday, so i can spend several days with her and my almost-14 yr old tom, Jasper. I want the whole introduction to go well. Supervision at first as the best way to guarantee that i think. Or at least supervision at first will give me a degree of peace of mind that they won't kill or maim one another.

Anyhow, i should move the laundry around and go to sleep.

I like the name because it is a stone with flecks of gold in it. And you kitten has a certain golden light to her. Huggs and may you both have a long life together.
