This community, Fandom Counts, is asking people to join to get a count of Fen on LJ. archangelbeth brought it to my attention. I added my self to its numbers.

This post (http://vichan.livejournal.com/167985.html#cutid1) explains why the community exists. I've a passing acquaintance with vichan, one of the maintainers, from our intersection on chalice_circle, a UU community. I know archangelbeth from our intersection in chalice_circle, ozarque, and dpolicar.

I'm not utterly convinced that WFI's intent was to target only fen, especially due to the fact that not all of what they targeted were directly fan-related. Mayhap i'm too trusting, as i know i can be at times.

I don't think they were targeting fen, but it seems that they might want to target a group that was formed to protest their action. Actually, I'm not sure they were targeting anyone. From what I've heard about their website, it may have been an attempt to spread spyware and viruses.

I'm going to make my protest by not renewing my paid LJ membership and telling them why.
