Job Status

Just now, i updated my resume, and posted to Monster and Dice. Tomorrow i follow up on a couple of job leads. By Monday, i should file with VEC for benefits, and search through available state and local jobs in my region.

For once, staying up until 03:00 accomplished something.

If memory serves, as a matter of practice, you should really touch your resume and "update" it daily or at least weekly on both Monster and Dice even if the change is total trivia. There are lots of hiring managers out there who will only look at this week's resume postings.

Thanks! I've historically updated it weekly, usually adding or removing hard returns or optional commas or somesuch, just to keep it really up-to-date.

Nice. Careerbuilder's another good spot... and I used to know several good ones for IT-related jobs, but I'd have to ask the other folks I know who do IT work.

I've had bad experiences with CareerBuilder in the past. I got 90% of my interviews from Dice last time, and so far 6 bites from Dice again this time. That kinda weirds me out, seeing as it's been posted for less than 12 hours. All in all, that's a good thing i suppose.
