My palms are almost back to their natural yellowish colour, as opposed to the pinkish colour they've been since late March. Big Happy! One more set of injections on Monday, then all done. So looking forward to being done with that.

Late March? That was about when we'd gotten together for NYC.

If you don't mind my asking, any other relations besides me since March? Trying to determine where the syphilis came from. And speaking of which, must make appointment today.

My ex, the only other possibility, claims he was just tested this week and came up clean. Of course, his trustworthy rating is down for me lately.

Glad to hear it's clearing up. I've been relatively symptom free, for well or ill.

Doing some research, and consulting with my doctors, it appears my time of infection was most likely between Thanksgiving and MLK day. The rash appearing in late March was the sign of Stage 2. This CDC site (http://www.cdc.gov/std/Syphilis/STDFact-Syphilis.htm) has info on Syphilis, and reading it, it's an extremely low probability that you contracted it from me, but getting tested sooner rather than later would be good. If you were exposed, sero-conversion would likely have happened already.

If they're only *almost* back to their natural color, should you check with the doctor about another run of injections?

Last week there was little change in the rash, this week, it's a very noticeable improvemnt. I anticpate further improvement in the coming weeks.

I do have another set of injections on Monday, and follow-up with my regular doctor the week after that. The injections take up to 4 weeks to be fully effective after the end of a course, after which a new blood test will be done.
