dcseainI wanted to send you a link to this post about restaurants in NYC but i don't have your email.
Anyway, I ate at Pomaire, which was absolutely delightful, but you need to speak slowly for most of the staff, English is not their native language. El Quijote was very nice also. I had the paella. I trust Mark's tast in food implicitly, so am willing to recommend anything on the list. Let me know if you've questions.
