My sister is going to birth a boy in March. Name has only partially been chosen: ? Michael Quigley.

Not acceptable list: Thomas, John, David, Donald, Shane, Lee, Louis, Benjamin, Johnathan, Jeremy, Phillip. Those are unaceptable because we have living relatives with those names, or a close variant on those names.

So, what, in your opinion, should the first name be? Oh, and for reference, Dad is Danish, and brother is named Jaden, which is not Danish, just unusual.

Well you've not mentioned Jeffrey/Jeffery.

I've dated an Ari but that doesn't work well with Michael Quigley.
Ariel somehow seems to do better.

Kendall?
Andrew?
hm. Andrew Michael Quigley rolls nicely, as does Jeffery Michael Quigley.
Daniel, also.

hee. no opinion on names, but my sis just announced that they think her's is a girl in Feb so this made me smile. OK, one opinion. Name him after my new kitty. :) That's not on your list.

Given the ethnic hodgepodge of your family, the very Irish sounding Kevin Michael Quigley with a Danish surname just sounds right.

Quigley is in fact the Surname, and is Irish, as its his step-father's name.

If thats the surname, they should stay away from Brian, as Brian Quigley was a character on an Irish soap opera that is shown on PBS.

Well, I've always been fond of Mark, Victor (only because it's synonymous with winner, I guess), and, off the cuff, Wolf. ;-) I just think anyone named Wolf is cool.

Don't mind me. There are times when I feel like I'm going to name a kid Moon Unit.

Okay, I'm not that bad. >=)

Fredrik

I admit a personal bias toward this one, as Fredrik was my mother's father's father. I'm not so sure my sister and hubby would go for it, though.
