So, I spent 5 hours today digging out the cars. I did not fully dig [livejournal.com profile] tomhundleyrn's car out. Mr. Freeman, the head of maintenance here, kindly used the plow to clear what i had not. I'm way, way wiped. Removing most of 3 feet of snow from on and around the cars was exhausting. Especially due to the extra snow i had to shovel due to how the plowing was near the Acura. Happily, there was a space that had no one parked in it during the snow, so i simply shovelled the snow from the Acura and what mostly into that space; we have non-reserved parking. As a result of this, i was not able to go help a friend get dug out today, as i was just way, way too tired to do more. :/

Fred is visiting. Some of you may recall Fred from several years ago, when he was living in my apartment. He came down for a funeral of a mutual friend that was to be Saturday, and now will be on Tuesday. What with more snow coming Tue/Wed, we're not yet sure when he'll be going back to NYC to get to his home in NJ. But, we'll get him there, hopefully by the end of the week.

We had power the whole time, despite a couple blips around 4AM on Saturday.

After a trip to Harris Teeter, which happily was restocked and open today, Fred and i ate at Ledo which along with Mayuri, the Chinese delivery/carryout place, the Safeway, and the RiteAid were all open at Hunter Woods Plaza. Oddly, the traffic light at Glade Dr and Colts Neck Dr in Reston was on solid red all four ways.

Hope you're all safe and warm.
