YouTube videos stopped playing in Firefox 2, yes, the latest release, a while age. They will play in IE however. I've cleared cache to no avail. Comments, questions, concerns?
I have a similar problem. I'm running FF3beta on XP/Pro, and if my machine has been up "too long", YouTube videos stop working. A reboot clears it up. Odd. Maybe memory leaks?
Hm. That would make sense, esp since it stopped working when embedded first, then stopped working directly on the site. I'll reboot when i get home and see what happens. For some reason, that simple solution did not occur to me. Thank you.
I have FireFox 2.0.012 on my machine at work [Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080201 Firefox/2.0.0.12] and YouTube is working fine for me. Let me know what videos are you trying to view and I will try them here.
It seems to happen after I've watched a bunch of videos. When one fails, I can't run them anymore. Other apps are fine, though; even FF is OK on other stuff. It's just YouTube that goes off to la-la land.
