Solstice Service follow-up.

Thanks to all who showed up for the Summer Solstice Service today. It went well i think. I'm curious to here your thoughts/impressions. I didn't have as much vested personally in this as I did (do) Samhain, so i'm not sure how it went. The Spiral Dance was fun though. :)

Anne and I had a great time. It was a lovely service and a nice group of folks. The spiral dance was a hoot (and may have violated a few laws of physics). Very nice music. The joys/sorrows were very touching.

I'm glad you enjoyed. And, yes, i'm amazed the spiral dance worked out. There were twice as many people in attendance as we had expected. Joys/sorrows are a usual part of UU worship, though the format may differ.

For example, at the UUC of Las Vegas, you light a candle before the service, and then speak only if you've lighted a candle. I dilsike that system, as it's unfriendly to visitors.
