Poplar, Early Spring Taken 20070414 at Turkey Run Park in Mclean, VA. I looked up, and really liked the look of the young leaves against the blue of the sky.

Wow, Fixed. Yeah, it was yesterday. I should've gone to bed earlier than i did. :)

Turkey Run totally has the best hiking inside the beltway.

I had given up on finding a good place to walk around here. As in, somewhat untrammeled, and not more than half an hour's walk or 15 min. drive from home. I've passed Turkey run hundreds of times, but never ventured in. (I'm too lazy to drive up to Northwest Branch Park, which I'm familiar with.) I'll give it a try--after the ground dries up a little.

Came across this post while search for an other. Have you made it to Turkey Run yet, and if so, did you find it satisfactory?

Not yet. I'm getting closer. Now is when things start getting good on river banks. Probably won't go until Jamie's stitches are out.
