Aug. 13th, 2007 10:28 pmAsk and you shall receive. My answers:
I started playing violin again after a hiatus of 20 years (played viola during those years) thanks to
muzikmaker21 thinking of me when they needed a violinist for The Two Gentlemen of Verona in 2005.
* Yes, you read that right, hard-boiled egg cookies. My family also makes pastries with an ice-cream based dough. Things in Central Europe and Hungary are not like here in some ways, if different in very tasty ways.
1.) how good are you with that violin?:"> Good enough that i actively chose not to go professional when i was 18.

2.) have you ever travelled outside the U.S.?Yes, Spain (mostly Madrid, Sesa, Barcelona - which i adore, and Palma, though Extremadura and Valladolid are bothe quite lovely) in 1984-85, and Montreal, QC periodically through my childhood, but not since 1989. And thank you for spelling 'travelled' correctly. :)
3.) do you have any uncommon/unusual talents/skills?Music and language - are those uncommon? I can write poetry off the cuff, which i know is rather uncommon, though not unheard of. I have an uncanny ability to remember roads and directions.
4.) what do you consider comfort food?Cake; ice cream - especially a good, non-green mint chip or a rocky road; cookies - especially chocolate chip, hard-boiled egg*, and brazil nut; chocolate covered peanuts or almonds; a simple stuffing of mirepoix, bread and seasonings; cream pies, especially chocolate and coconut, but never lemon, lime, nor anything with meringue - meringue is not cream, nor a substitute for it.
5.) what's a bad habit you're trying to break? Not putting things away right away when i should.

Summer's End, Draft 4
Aug. 13th, 2007 11:22 pmHere be a major revision, whence i think shall come the next-to last iteration.
Comments and feedback welcome from all, though i'm at a point where
dr_tectonic's and
mergyeugnau's input would be most welcome, if they each be feeling up for it.
