Oh, Boy, Now What.
Nov. 9th, 2005 11:31 amI've been told that i'm to be in charge of content and organization of our pan-departmental Twiki. Exciting charge seeing i'm now 8 days into the job. I guess i'll learn a lot in the process.
Small company has a remarkably different dynamic from large one. :) I'm liking it a lot, even if at times i'm left feeling overwhelmed.

On Saturday, i went shopping at my local Whole Foods Market. I then went home and cooked what i'd bought. Next, i took my vegan dish to the vegetarian table i was assigned to at a church dinner. I bathed and changed clothes between the cooking and the going to the dinner. I took a couple of lactase pills with dessert, as those were not vegan, unlike the rest of our meal.
Since Saturday, i have found neither my debit card, which i used at the store, and twice online since then, nor my mostly full bottle of lactase. Just putting this out in the ether that something may find me worthy of encountering especially the card.

I'm Confused
Nov. 9th, 2005 03:56 pmI've been reading a lot of docs here at the new job, trying to figure out which end is up. The instructions in one has left me confused.
( The text what has confused me )
I'm especially confused because the ports on the back are labelled, from left to right: 1, 2, 1, 0, where 1&2 or built-in and 1&0 are on a PCI NIC. What i think it's saying as that 1, 2, 1, 0 = 0, 1, 2, 3. I theorize it may be a PCI NIC issue, as the OS (Linux) cannot initialize eth4. The servers are IBM eServers, xSeries 306.
