When I applied for Canadian permanent residence, a few years back, they needed every single address I'd had since age 18.
Conveniently, I was only 27 at the time; I can't help but assume that if I'd had to do it age 50, I'd have been completely hopeless at reconstructing the dozen or so addresses I had in college or grad school.
