With special thanks to dr_tectonic, here is draft 1 of the poem, with general intro, likely to be rewritten a bt, for tomorrow's service. Poem will evolve much from this point, ( but here's what tere is for now: )

I was surprised and pleased to find this on the front page of the UUA website:

A Prayer for the High Holy Days by Elizabeth Lerner, the Jew-U minister of my UU Church.

Saturday, i slept a bit later than usual, despite protest on the part of the cats, then went over to the nookery, ( and gleefully dealt with a bunch of trash and recycling )
It was wonderful getting to spend a bunch of time with nosebeepbear, and we got a lot of useful things done around the house, too.

Sunday, which it still is right now, i got up, started to go to church, realized i forgot the smudge stick, went home, got the smudge stick (of sage and piñón), went to church, and helped lead a very successful Summer Solstice Service, ( and had a lovely afternoon )

Then i came home, fed the cats, who are right now on the couch beside me, sleeping on benhill's blue fleece, read the Post, did some laundry, did the dishes, cooked dinner, then surfed some.

A most wonderful weekend all-in-all. Low key, great company, and fun activities. Little more can be asked of a weekend.
