Hmmmmm. Well, there's the netti pot, which is used for nasal irrigation. And garlic is a natural antibiotic. I used to eat raw cloves in bulk. I have a friend who once ground up garlic and put it in the netti pot. Sounds dangerous to me. No tea, as some tea leaves have fungus on them that can irritate your larynx and cause allergic reactions. Decongestant helps keep the infection out of your lungs. Breathing steam. Zicam is great, but doesn't work as well with infections.

There are also remedies for sore throats, which you can get from the post-nasal drip. Boil ginger root in water and drink the water. Takes swelling down. There was also a pharmacy in Atlanta which made this concoction that included iodine, which you were to swap on the back of your throat with one of those big pap smear Q-Tips. I'm not sure how safe it is to do with pure iodine.

Rest and water are up on the top, which you know. And it's best to see a doctor, which you will.
